New Program for Early Stage Entrepreneurs

You have an idea…now what?

Over the few years of us running our Accelerator program we have seen a trend and have heard from our community of a need in startup education. Many of the applications we receive are brilliant creative ideas, but that is all they are. Ideas that have not been brought to life, or manifested into a startup … just yet.

We want to see these ideas launched and this is why we have designed a new program for early stage entrepreneurs. Whether newly entering the marketplace, still working on that prototype, or trying to figure out how to get an idea off the ground, this program was designed for you. The LABS are a bootcamp for entrepreneurs with the goal to launch early ideas into actionable startups.

Let’s talk about the program

Who should apply?
New Mexico residents eager to grow a startup. (Sorry, non-NM entrepreneurs. Nothing personal, this program is in-person and would be hard to attend if you don’t live here.)
How many startups are being selected?
We beleive in peer-to-peer learning. This is why we are limiting the number of participants to 20. With a small group close connections can be made.
What topics will be covered?
Business concepts and strategy. Your vision, mission, customers and opportunity. MVP, sales pipeline, and much much more. We will spend time on your startup assessing the market landscape and how best to launch, grow, or pivot your idea.
How Long:
4 weeks; meeting twice a week
When:
March 31st — April 22nd.
Friday nights from 5:30pm — 8pm; and Saturdays from 9am — 3pm.
Where:
All classes will be at Epicenter in downtown Albuquerque. There is free parking (yea!), and the venue is a block from the Railrunner and bus stop.
How much?
$225 — includes materials.

How the application works

Just like our Accelerator, Creative Startups LABS has a competitive application with a limited number of spaces being offered. The application has easy questions that reveal the story behind your startup. Not only do we want to know about your creative business ideas and progress in building a company, but we want to know about you the entrepreneur.

Applications for the LABS are open until February 28th at 11:59pm MST. While we suspect the application will only take about an hour to complete, you have the ability to draft your progress and return anytime until the deadline.

Is there a video component to the application?
Yes, but don’t let that scare you. We don’t care about video production. Just answer the few questions we ask and show us your passion and personality.
P.S. Please wear a shirt. I know it sounds strange, but it has happened in the past. While we will remember you forever, it might not be for the reasons you want.

How long are the applications open?
Applications are open until February 28th at 11:59pm MST.
